Al Gore can kiss my ass!!!
I can understand why we need to ween ourselves from Middle Eastern Oil so we no longer fund the Islamic Fascists BUT we need to pump more oil ourselves... Alaska, and off the shore of Florida and California... I am not a proponent of Ethanol and after reading this article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18941618/ I would rather pay $6.00 a gallon vs. causing the price of beer to go up.
You can't argue the economics. Barly for $271 per ton, that's ton-as in 2000 pounds, as opposed to Corn at over $500 per ton. That sucks....
I now say this war should be about Oil!!! Dammit.
I say that the Government should coerce the big Oil companies to build 4 new refineries, 1 in New Jersey, 1 in Brunswick Ga, 1 either on Texas coast of in New Orleans, and 1 in California. AND all the 32 different additives they have to put in Gas for the different states would be abolished, 1 gas for America.
Get R dunnn...

Great Company...
As you know I am a huge Clemson Fan and usually brag about every national reference out there. Well, i just came across one article that I kinda wish we weren't in.
I am reading the current Rolling Stone magazine and they have an article about America's most hated comics - Shirley Q. Liquor, who is a 45yr old gay man in drag wearing blackface... Ha, Ha, good gimmick, I even went to the website, www.shirleyqliquor.com, and chuckled about some of the skits. This morning I read the rest of the article and who do they mention? Clemson University and the idiot kids that had a "gangsta" party over MLK Jr weekend. Great... We get mentioned in Rolling Stone, not for producing David Dondero and launching pad for Edwin McCain, and Drivin n Cryin but for a Gangsta party./
Great company. This guy may be funny - but - RuPaul had his run. The Lady Chablis had his run. I guess there is always a niche for gay humor - Charles Nelson Riley died over the weekend so a spot is open....

Yar-garita = Yum!!!
Forgot to tell ya'll about this find yesterday before the movie.
Went to lunch at On The Border or Over the Border, whatever...and wanted to have a drink. I am not a big Tequila fan but have developed a taste for it over the years. Yesterday it just did not appeal to me, beer would cause multiple bathroom breaks during the movie so I looked at the drink menu....
YAR-garita screamed out at me.... Captain Morgans Spiced Rum, Grand Mariner, margarita mix, splash of OJ and some Triple Sec, shaken and on the rocks with salt around the rim... WOW...
Hemingway and Black Beard would both have been pleased... I know I was...
Shit that was good.

Inflated Numbers - is it due to inflation?
Went to the movies today with the Fiance... It was a beautiful day but we decided to catch the matinee for Spiderman 3. Tix were $7.50 EACH...
What the hell is that????
I guess it has been over a year since we have gone to the movies but I think we paid $7.50 for a Friday night movie - this was a Matinee for Christs' sake...
I still have sticker shock...
Movie was OK, too mushy for my tastes.
I was mulling over the costs.... And kept thinking that all these box office records that are broken are BULLSHIT. They are making more money because it costs $10.00 for 1 freaking ticket. That counts like 2 people from when I was growing up... I wish they published how many tickets were sold, not the $ Gross...
That's misleading.

It keeps sucking you back in....
Got up @ 6:15am to tee off, in Calhoun, Ga, by 8:30. Ooof...
Needless to say - the game was not "ON" but it could have been worse...
Of course, the 18th - or 9th since we started on the back, is a 480yd. Par 5. POW out of the box. 2nd shot is looking down on the fairway 230 yds away - Pow with the 3 Wood. I am 10 feet from the green. Shitty bump with a 7 iron and I am 8 feet from the first Birdie of the day. (And its been a crazy day too, good drive, shitty 2nd shot, dribble of a drive, awesome 2nd shot, drive in the woods or water and incredible re-tee from the box - but I'm hittin 3 so the hole is already shot to hell... Crazy day.) Well i line up the putt, little break right to left on some slick ass greens, and I give the ball a little smack. Perfect line, perfect speed, and it slowed just as it got to the hole and then the Maxfli label rotated 1 more time as the ball drops to the bottom of the cup.
Birdie...
Guess I can't quit the game now... Maybe next time.
As the Dice Man would say: "Tiger Woods - I fucked him!"

Go, Ga. Dome....
Thru my travels I have plenty of time to listen to talk radio. Shit I know more about Alabama politics than I do Ga... Listening to Sports Talk out of B'ham i hear that Duke is giving up a home game in 2010 so that the Duke vs. Alabama will be played @ the Ga. Dome.
Since Duke's stadium only holds about 40k it makes good economic sense to move the game to, double the attendance, broaden your recruiting tract, and allow those rednecks from AL to come see the game.
The Ga. Dome sports commission is trying to get a number of these "off-site" games:
Florida vs. Vandy (Vandy would have to give up a home game)
Tennessee vs. Mississippi St. (Miss. St would give up a home game)
Tough thing is they will have to prey on the smaller/ less successful football schools in order to entice them to give up a home game. The "big time" schools will not give up a home game because the home stadiums are bigger than the Ga. Dome. Perfect example is Clemson vs. Auburn. This is a matchup that I have wanted for years (very similar schools in: location, size, history, colors, mascots, etc) But neither school is willing to give up a home game as both stadiums hold >85,000 fans. I would love to see it but it is doubtful.
The Dome has been doing this for years, bringing in the HBC colleges to play off-site games. I'm sorry this is a whole other level of football: Kentucky vs. LSU is a much better game than Howard vs. Southern...

Oooof... I am still stuffed....
Yesterday was a beautiful Mother's Day so I took the Fiance to work, so that I could pick her up when she got off and we could go to the Corns for a cookout.
We get over there and there is a HUGE slab of Brisket on the stove, just letting the juices set... Great, I just get over a terrible bout with the Gout and here comes more Red Meat. But who am I to turn down a meal??? Seen me lately? I definitely know how to use a fork.
Brisket was awesome, cole slaw and pasta salad - both awesome. Corn on the Cobb (a personal favorite) was incredible, I ate 3 ears. The Texas Toast was awesome too. Cupcakes for dessert.
We made it just in time for the Soprano's and Entourage but I could not get comfortable on the couch. My stomach was distended - I had eaten waaaay too much.
Sent the girl for the Tums and Pepsid. Took Aleeve to quell my headache... Uh, miserable. So around 11 I finally pass out on the couch and the girl comes down and scares the shit out of me - "Go to Bed!" Shit... Miserable in bed last night too.
This morning I have successfully purged the demons of over eating and given the Air Freshener a work out... (I gotta find a stronger brand)

The Gout has Got Me!!!
Holy Shit... Gout is a muthafucka!!! I could tell I was getting a full blown flare up on Tuesday night so yesterday I could almost not stand it. I could barely walk, wimpering like a little girl. Well, I called the Dr and got an appt - they wouldn't call in a prescription since I had not seen the Dr in 16 months. I see the worthless Primary Care Physician and he fesses up the 'scrips in addition he gives me some Codine, or Tylenol #3 w/ Codine. Yee Haw. My favorite. I spent a pain free night last night, slept like a baby, and am in much better spirits. My fear is that I still have swelling on my foot BUT I actually have to work today. Can't medicate myself and drive around the ATL. We'll see how the day goes.

Blogspot is Bullshit...
Well, it has been months since my last post. Why, you may ask? Blogspot has held my old blog at www.tukulkev.blogspot.com hostage... They changed serveres and I, for the life of me, could not get it to convert over. This is crazy, why inconvenience your members. They should have transferred everyone on the backend and no one would have known.
Well, I am back now. Maybe not better than ever BUT i will try to keep this one under wraps. Too many eyes - thus too many opinions - emerged from my old site.
